Αντικείμενο: Overall, the project aims at promoting supported independent living (SIL) as an alternative care practice for unaccompanied minors focused on aged 15-18. Specifically, knowledge and good practices regarding SIL care in participating countries will be collected, exchanged and disseminated through the project activities. It is worth to be noted that the integration context and integration services provided to unaccompanied minors will be analyzed and assessed via semi-structured interviews with stakeholders in countries of project partners. A guide is expected to be developed which will be tested in the field by professionals, evaluated through follow-up (feedback forms) and readjusted at the end of project. Unaccompanied minors aged 15-18 are the main beneficiaries of the project so one of the great challenges is the improvement of their life. Hence, career skills development will enhance their confidence and mentality. In this regard, PROUD will support the capacity building of professionals and adoption of a mentoring scheme to deal with adaptation and integration aspects of minors in the new context through two (2) transnational trainings. The project is expected to have a high impact both in short and long term. In the short term, 200 minors 15-18 years old are expected to be benefited along with more than 500 child protection professionals. In the long term, the project is expected to positively influence EU Member States towards adopting alternative care practices that do not lead to institutionalization.
