Αντικείμενο: The project is expected to contribute to improved capacity of criminal justice authorities to assess the consequences of proceedings on suspects and accused; improved implementation of the presumption of innocence, as laid down in Directive (EU) 2016/343; and to benefit criminal justice authorities (judges, prosecutors and police officers), lawyers, academics and NGOs.
The main goal of the project is to enhance the implementation of the presumption of innocence, by identifying factors affecting the social status of suspects and accused, analysing their impact, and producing methodology and guidelines for assessing the risk of de-socialisation.
