OPSIDIANET: Offenders with Psycho-Social and Intellectual Disabilities: Identification, Assessment of Needs and Equal Treatment

Αντικείμενο: The main goal of the project is to identify gaps preventing suspects and accused with psycho-social or intellectual disabilities from exercising their procedural rights, to develop tools enabling first-line practitioners to identify such persons and safeguard their rights and to subsequently train first-line practitioners how to use the developed tools. 
The aim is to improve the capacity of first-line practitioners in identifying and assessing the psycho-social and intellectual disabilities of suspects and accused, safeguarding their rights and avoiding discrimination and to support the more effective, coherent and non-discriminatory application of the EU criminal law on the rights of suspects and accused.
